Childbirth preparation class in Japanese(with English simultaneous interpretation)

Prenatal Class 

As of 2021, lectures are being held online to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

In addition, we are holding a DL distribution of the lecture video, an online exchange meeting, and an online question session, so people from other states with different time zones can also take the lecture. Please contact MOM for details.

 

MOM's childbirth preparation classThis is a group where you can learn the basics of pregnancy, childbirth, and childcare in Japanese. In addition, this is a bilingual class with simultaneous interpretation in English so that the husbands and families of international marriages can fully understand and cooperate.

Please feel free to join us even if you do not understand Japanese.

 

By participating in this gathering, you will be able to find new friends in the same environment and position, which will help to relieve your anxiety.

 

MOM Prenatal Class: For expecting moms and their partners. Topics include daily life during pregnancy, how woman's body changes and how to deal with it, delivery and breathing techniques, newborn care, breastfeeding and post-delivery women's body care. Class is given in Japanese with English translations. The purpose of MOM Prenatal Class is to reduce anxieties and concerns during women's pregnancy and to offer a social gathering place to meet new friends.

 

The childbirth preparation class consists of four lectures.

Total of 4 classes + Tea Party (holding after course)

After the lecture, we will hold an exchange meeting at another venue.

 

After giving birth, participants can also receive postnatal visit guidance and breast milk massage at a discounted rate.

 

 

 

Postpartum home-visit guidance includes how to bathe, daily care, breastfeeding methods, checking breast milk secretion, breast massage, measurement of breastfeeding volume, guidance for successful breastfeeding, and guidance for mothers and babies through actual babies. We provide advice on early recovery and care, and eliminate all anxieties of the family who welcomed a newborn baby.

 

Even if you do not participate in childbirth preparation classes, you can receive postpartum home visit guidance separately.

MOM childbirth preparation class Lecture content

Part 1: Basic knowledge throughout pregnancy, physiology, physical changes and how to deal with them, early detection of abnormalities, nutrition, exercise

2nd timeActual and process of childbirth, thoracic breathing method for labor pain relief, postpartum lifestyle guidance

3rd timeAbout newborns, bathing instruction, basic knowledge of childcare, baby growth process, postpartum maternal care

4thPrenatal and postnatal breast care for breastfeeding, breastfeeding methods, massage, etc.

             

Course capacity: 8 groups Meet at 6:15 pm, start at 6:30 and finish at 9:30

 

The course starts every other month, but in principle, each lecture is held once a month. Please join the course that will be held around the week).

If you can't make it in time for childbirth, we also offer individual lectures, so please contact us in that case.

 

Childbirth preparation class participation fee

Participation fee All 4 lectures, including textbook $200 (per couple)

After giving birth, we will visit your home directly and give you advice and guidance on daily life such as bathing guidance, breastfeeding guidance, breast milk massage, question and answer session, etc. for about 3 hours.​ Postpartum home visit guidance limited to participants in the childbirth preparation class, $100 for the first time (35% off the regular fee), 15% off the regular fee after the second time for one year available.
